Four Seasons In One Day ..

Morning,
So, Mum's latest episode began about 5 or 6 weeks ago.  She had been ticking along quite nicely as we came out of winter.  But then Dad noticed she was starting to talk more and more quickly, and racing from one subject to the next, over and over.  He said it was hard to keep up with her, and one day she decided all the lilac trees over hanging the garden wall were too tall, but instead of waiting for Dad to get the ladders out when he got home, she climbed up on to the shed roof, and got on to the high wall from there.   I suspected she was rushing it as it was as soon as dad had left for work and she was still in her pajamas and slippers.  She slipped off the roof coming down and fell into Violet's garden next door.  She grazed all up her arm, but she just brushed herself down and climbed back over.  Dad was not pleased, he said he wished he got a pound for very time he said to Mum "Shouldn't have rushed it ".  We had the usual moving of all the the furniture round.  The furniture move is always the perfect arrangement in Mum's eyes until its the next one.  I don;t think she will ever get it completely right in her view, but it keeps her occupied. Me and Moon get used to finding the couch on a different wall, but Lord Velvet is 20 now and he has a touch of dementia.  It just about tips him over when he comes into the lounge and find all the furniture moved.  Sometimes he goes out and comes in about 4 or 5 times in a row.  I think he hopes it will move back to how it was if he does that... Irma doesn't notice to be honest, but as Dad always says, "Irma has self-involvement issues for sure".
Mum's mood plummeted soon after she cut all her hair off.  Dad came home from work and found her hair all over the bathroom floor, she had done it with Dad's clippers, and whilst I don't like to dent Mum's enthusiasm for trying something new, - She is no Vidal Sassoon.  I think she thought it would turn out like Carey Mulligan, but to me , it looks more like a shortened version of Pris from Bladerunner.
Dad knew this was a sign that it was time for a visit to Dr Parkin.  He helps to keep Mum on the straight and narrow.    So now Mum is going to see a Psychiatric practitioner to review everything, and frankly we are all relieved.  She bought a crazy amount of lipsticks and matching nail polish last week, and now she has just put most of them on ebay as they are not really "her colours"...
Moonpig just cuddles up on Mum's hip, no matter what colour the nail polish.  Its lucky I am here to keep things in order when Dad is at work, otherwise who knows what time lunch would be served...
I know Mum relies on me to stop David (next doors cat) from harassing Mr Jingles and his clan.   And that is why this typing is about to halt... things to do, people to bark at ..
